Harvest Festival at Merck Forest & Farmland Center

Learn about all the ways that trees and forests are part of our lives. The day will include forest-focused activities for the whole family. 

This year’s Harvest Festival features a special partnership with the Manchester Community Library, made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. We will be kicking off the Building Hope and Connection Through Our Landscape program series with free books for readers of all ages. Find the Manchester Community Library table to take a copy home! Books include Lab Girl by Hope Jahren (adult readers), Can You Hear the Plants Speak? by Nicholas Hummingbird (young readers), Save Our Forest by Nora Dåsnes (middle readers), and Indigenous Ingenuity by Deidre Havrelock & Edward Kay (YA readers).

Activities Include:

– Apple Cider Pressing: Learn how to make fresh cider.

– Wagon Rides: Meet the animals and explore the farm in the comfort of our farm…
