“Dear Everyone,

“Nic and Matilda went to NYC for some days. We went to the park and we made a new friend.”-Matilda

“On Monday we had pancakes that Deb made us. They were sooooooo good. They were soooooo big. They were as big as my face. I loved them because they were homemade.”-Charlie

“We ate pancakes two days ago. They were delicious and yummy. There was also pineapple.”-Henri

“Lumi is back from Alley’s house because she was sick. She came back Tuesday.”-Emma

“The owls wrote star stories in the classroom on Tuesday.”-Hazel

“On Wednesday we went to the Montshire Museum of Science. It is an hour and a half away in Norwich. We came to school and left at 8:20, and got there at 10:00. We had morning meeting for a little bit, and then we went in! The Owls had a lesson about stars. The Eagles split into two groups, one with Karen and one with Maxine. Me and Cole were with Karen. We started on the downstairs part, while the other group went upstairs. We explored for a little bit and then switched. We stopped, but it turned out we had half an hour before our lesson so we had lunch. Our lesson was about weather. See Zooey for details. After that we went back to school and had soccer club. It was interesting and fun.”-Eden

“The weather at MMS. On Wednesday we went to the Montshire Museum of Science. For details see Eden! At MMS the Owls and Eagles had labs. To see the Eagles’ lab stay here! We did a weather lab. Our teacher’s name was Mike and we tracked when a pond’s ice melted. I think it was cool because it was literally cool. First, we talked about climate then we made the graph. I learned that through the years you can track differences in time and make a hypothesis on the future temperatures.”-Zooey

“Some people played soccer after the field trip.”-Beckett

“This week on Thursday Karen was not here. She was flooded. Her kitchen was flooded. She was here in the morning and then she went home. Karen tried to unflood her kitchen. The Eagles are with the Owls for the day. I hope Karen is ok.”-Cole

“Warning! Warning there is a storm happening and if you have a soccer goal and left it outside it might be upside down. A few trees fell down on roads. Children had to leave to get to school early because some trees fell down on the roads. Be dry and have a good rest of the day. And wear good clothes. There is no such thing as bad weather only clothes.”-Rebecca

“Red Fox was huddling at outside time today to get warm.”-Gabriel

“On Thursday we did grocery store math. Now don’t ask me what that is because I’m about to explain it. Say you can buy 1 apple for 25 cents or you can buy a bag of 20 apples for $7.00. Which is cheaper? That’s grocery store math. We did this with Alley while the Owls were at art. Worksheets simply cannot compare.”-Addis

“The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. MaryBeth came in to read a story. It was called “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs”. I already read the story but other people didn’t. It is about the Wolf’s perspective of the three little pigs. All he wanted to do is ask for sugar. In the end he goes to jail. I liked the book and I’m never eating pig again because I agreed with the wolf.”-Nicolas

“The harvest festival is coming. We are going to press apples.”-Talon (See you Saturday for the Harvest Festival!)
